How to write a statement about a design office that operates outside the conventional boundaries of architecture and urbanism and yet, focuses on research and design for the city. Traditionally, architecture is concerned with the conception and construction of physical artifacts and urbanism is the study of how people interact with these objects.

But how can we describe architecture, cities and entire landscapes that are conceived and controlled by a crowd of non-human agents? How can we understand urban challenges imposed by emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning and Blockchain without actively engaging with these systems? How to communicate the complexity of urban systems to ordinary people and collectively leverage the opportunities of the Post-Anthropocene?

Our work explores alternative futures arising through the intersection of emerging technologies and everyday life. We apply architectural thinking to domains beyond to implement social, economical and ecological change. Systemic change starts with those who use the system.
